The navy of Russia head the 3M-54 Klub anti-ship missile in the Caspian Sea. The missile electric tape is a multi-role developed by the Novator Design Bureau (OKB-8). Its NATO reporting name is the SS-N-27. There are versions for both submarines that for surface vessels. The system is designed to accept various types of heads, allowing its use against surface unit that immersed electric tape as well as ground targets. In a variant, the 3M-54E (Sizzler), the final phase has a supersonic acceleration in proximity to its target, reducing the reaction time to the defense systems. The 3M-54E1 is subsonic missile which is roughly analogous to the cruise missiles Tomawack USA, but is smaller and has a lower flow rate.
